Direct production of wood nanofiber from raw wood
The researchers at NNP Co succeeded in direct mechanical production of wood nanofibers from raw wood in 2013. During this downsizing, no chemicals were used and the chemical properties of nanostructures produced were similar to the chemical composition of natural wood; hence, this method is considered as an environmentally friendly approach.
